Summer is around the corner and we’re expecting warm weather with a chance of swimsuits and rocking bodies. I don’t know about you but I’ve got a ways to go until I can rock out in my swimsuit.
The lengthy trek I still have is why I’m so excited to be apart of the Kohl’s #MakeYourMove campaign. The campaign is all about empowering ourselves to take the next step to a healthier, fit you. So, in order to help all of you and myself, I will be sharing all sorts of ideas to help us get back on track and ready for this Summer.
As the months have rolled on by we have passed numerous holidays, birthdays, and special occasions all tempting our diets, New Year’s resolutions, and fitness regimens.
This is why it’s important to start to refocus on us and get back on track before it’s time to hit the beach. Like I said, you’re not alone, I’m jumping on the bandwagon and ready to get started.
Here are a few tips to help you get back on track to making your move:
Make time for breakfast – Starting your day off right is important, make sure to eat a breakfast that’s filled with protein to stay full on your busy day. Low carb (and dieting in general) doesn’t mean depriving yourself from important meals.
Need a few ideas? Try my low carb breakfast casserole or low carb breakfast bars.
Get active today – We too often put exercising off, but in reality, exercise and healthy eating come hand in hand. Exercising can help you keep your mind off cravings and get your body into a great beach body state.
Make your own meals – Going out to eat can sound like an easy fix but many restaurants don’t share their nutritional information, making it hard to know what dish really does fit your dietary goals.
It’s best to make your own meals so you know exactly what’s going into everything you eat. Need a few ideas for lunch or dinner? Try my low carb meatloaf or low carb chili.
Get ready to make your move by grabbing these two cool new products; OXO Salad Spinner and madoline slicer. I’ll be using in my upcoming recipes. I’m sure you’ll love them!
And before I forget, do you have any tips of your own? I’d love to know how you plan to #MakeYourMove.
